The composition of our pergolas

Why install a pergola?
The pergola offers you a shady outdoor corner. Installed on your terrace or in your garden, your pergola provides a defined outdoor area for activities such as eat, relax or entertaining guests. A pergola can also be used for protect garden furniture and guests from the sun's rays and inclement weather. Finally, a pergola can also improve aesthetics your garden or yard. There are many different styles and materials available for pergolas, making them suitable for almost any style of home.
Can I enjoy my pergola all year round?
Unlike the veranda, the pergola cannot be considered an additional living space, as it has no walls or partitions.
However, it is possible to enjoy a pergola in any season by making a few adjustments.
Pergolas can be equipped with glass or polycarbonate roofs to protect against the elements, such as rain and snow. It is also possible to install a sliding bay window, a rigid shade curtain or waterproof blinds to protect you from the sun's rays and strong winds. You can also add lighting to enjoy your pergola in the evening. It is also possible to install a brazier or a patio heater to enjoy your pergola for longer and stay warm. It's important to note that this will depend on the climatic conditions in your region.
How much does a pergola cost?
The price of your pergola VERANDAIR® will depend on its size and your choice of finishes. What size terrace do you need to cover? Will it be a conventional or bioclimatic pergola with adjustable slats? If it's a classic, will the roof be made of glass, wood, PVC or polycarbonate? Why choose an aluminum pergola?
Aluminium is resistant material that has proven its worth. This is why VERANDAIR® has chosen to work exclusively with this material for the construction of its structures.
It has many advantages:

- Unlike wood, does not need to be treated, ;
- It has a longer lifespan than the materials traditionally used to build pergolas.

How to choose between a fixed-roof pergola and a bioclimatic pergola?
Visit bioclimatic pergola is recommended in regions where the sun is generous and the weather hot, as it provides shade on demand. Its adjustable blades allow you to control the amount of shade and light received below, throughout the day. The disadvantage is that it can darken the interior room it backs onto.
Visit fixed-roof pergola VERANDAIR® is equipped with a glass or polycarbonate roof translucent. The latter is preferred because polycarbonate lets light through without creating a greenhouse effect.

The installation of a pergola is subject to regional regulations. In Brussels, planning permission is required. In Wallonia and Flanders, planning permission is required if your pergola has a surface area of over 40 m².
